OUR STORY

The Masianokeng Lifestyle Centre is a neighbourhood shopping and hangout facility for the people of Masianokeng and surrounding areas.

It is the only shopping centre of its nature and size in the area. The nearest malls are Maseru and Pioneer Mall which are both almost 20 kilometres away respectively.

The shopping centre brings shopping to the community’s doorstep - saving them time and money and also ensuring that they no longer have to be stuck in the City Centre traffic.

Over time, it will have a positive impact on the current traffic congestion in the City, as more and more people from Masianokeng choose to stay and shop in their area.

A Shopping Experience

The positive impact of Masianokeng Lifestyle Centre is being felt by ordinary Basotho - even before the project is complete.

An estimated 120 direct jobs have been created since the construction began. Approximately 150 permanent jobs are anticipated to be created in the post construction phase when the Centre is operating.

In addition, other jobs were sustained in the economy through the use of an estimated fifteen (15) local companies for various professional services including, engineering services, architectural design, quantity surveying, property development and various other consulting services.

It is anticipated that more jobs will be created and others sustained through Phase 2 of the Centre, which will constitute a Motor Centre.

The Centre has provided a platform for Basotho businesses to expand and reach a new untapped and unsaturated market.
