Masianokeng Lifestyle Centre
Masianokeng Lifestyle Centre is a new and modern convenience neighbourhood shopping centre in Masianokeng suburb, Maseru, Lesotho.
The Centre, which is Phase 1 of a two (2) phase development, brings many benefits for the Masianokeng and surrounding communities. The primary benefit is close and convenient access to basic household needs. Banking, telecommunications and health services among others will be at the door step. They will no longer be required to travel many kilometres (up to 20 kilometres) to the nearest mall shop for items such as groceries, food and other necessities.
The Centre will also be the ultimate leisure hangout and fun place for the community.
The 4 650 m² shopping Centre is strategically located along the Main South 1 Road, which links the Maseru City Centre to Roma, Morija, Moshoeshoe 1 International Airport and other southern districts outside Maseru.
The anchor tenants are well known grocery retailer, Pick n Pay and hardware provider, Cashbuild.
The Centre cost M54 million to build.
Global Design Standards
The design of the Centre has taken a leaf from similar Lifestyle Centres globally. It is simple yet elegant. Its open and flat design allows for easy flow of all its users- be on foot or driving.
Natural building elements have been used to create this modern Centre, which easily co-exists with the natural elements around it.
To cater for all patrons, the Centre has a public transport holding facility for taxis as well as more than adequate parking facilities (137) bays) for private vehicles. Easily accessible pedestrian pathways have also been provided.
